"The Thank You Meal" PreSMAK Program

Mackenzie had so much fun at the PreSMAK fun night at our church! It was fun to watch her, even though I got to watch her all week! She looked so cute in her apron and chef's hat! Of course, she wanted a purple apron! Her hat was too big, and it kept falling down over her eyes! She and Emma Curry were inseperable the whole night. At one point, they were supposed to be sitting in a circle singing a song, but instead they were standing in the middle of the circle doing their own thing! Then, they decided it was time for a tea party right in the middle of a song! In one of the rotation rooms, the teacher asked the kids what their favorite foods were...Mackenzie said cereal! (That was news to me!) When the program part was over, we headed to the Gym where there were lots of fun activities planned. She put her handprint on a plate, decorated and ate a sugar cookie, played on the moon bounce, maze tunnels and rode the little roller coaster ride. After we played for a while, we loaded up and headed to Newcastle for VBS at WHBC! What a busy week we had! I am so glad that I served in PreSMAK! I don't think there is anything better than teaching young children about the love of Jesus through music! On the way to church, Mackenzie said, "Mommy I have a happy heart!" Those were the words from one of the songs she learned! It made me so happy that in the midst of the craziness of 15 three year olds, she really did learn about the love of God!

She loved that we had matching shirts! And of course, she didn't want to wear jeans, so we found a jean skirt to wear!

We started out in the Chapel and then moved from room to room to see what Mackenzie had learned in PreSMAK! Her hat was too big and kept falling down in her eyes!
They look like they're having fun!

Mackenzie's turn to tell her favorite food...cereal!

Chef's hats work in many different ways!
This was in the last room and they were losing interest...they decided to go have a tea party in the middle of a song!

Happy Hearts! Bo Bayless is another one of Mackenzie's good friends from church!

Mackenzie liked playing her rhythm sticks like a violin! Emma joined in too!

They were totally doing their own thing in the middle of the circle!

" Just making sure you're watching mom!"

Mackenzie tends to choke people when we tell her to hug them!

Off to the Gym to PLAY!!! Aren't they cute?!

Putting Mackenzie's handprint on her plate! Messy, but fun!
I love that little hand!

Cleaning up!

Is this innocence or orneriness?

Daddy shares a bite of Mackenzie's cookie!
