We had a great last week of camp, complete with LOTS of pictures! Week 8 is always a little bittersweet. It's always a little sad when something comes to an end, but we were also ready for "normal" to return.
Just so the girls couldn't say we never take them swimming at Falls Creek, we FINALLY took them swimming in the entry pond one day during the last week of camp. Nothing like waiting 'til the last minute, huh?! (Brian told me later that earlier in the summer, someone was bit by a snake in that pond...eek!! Yeah, no thanks!)
I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves, but will just wrap up with this...it was another amazing summer at Falls Creek! We are tired & blessed, and already looked forward to Falls Creek 2020, GLORY!
Thank you, Lord, for letting us serve in this capacity!
I put together this video of all 8 weeks of camp!
FC Week 8 Video:
I took a picture of this game, so we would have it to remember...most days, the games go great but this one...well it was a TOTAL flop! It was hysterical how bad it was!
I really wish Jonah could just stay this size forever!
Angela and I have gotten to be really great friends over the past few years. I love her dearly and I'm so thankful for our partnership in ministry!
She wrote the sweetest message!! Love her!
My brown-eyed girl!
#photofail
We were walking out of the Ada Lodge and I thought it would be the best picture, on the bridge...but it was too sunny and this is what I got. Ha! It's still got all of my favorite people in one picture, so I had to keep it!
Jonah was "helping" Daddy on Registration day!
(That means playing on his phone, while drinking Sprite and eating Eileen's cookies!)
Mackenzie's friend, Daelyn, was at camp this week, so we didn't see a whole lot of her. They ran around together quite a bit.
Madison finally got her Simon' pin!
Week 8 means digging through the unclaimed Lost & Found items and finding some treasures to take home. Ha!
Pretty sure this is breaking the golf cart safety rules...
Favorite place at camp? Definitely the Green Room!
You just never know what you're going to see at camp!
Their pin collections definitely grew this summer!
Every Wednesday night at camp, the Program Staff has "Midweek," where they have different snacks and activities. This week was Oreos & milk, and Staff Awards.
Brian got the Potty Mouth Award, because of the hilarious game they did during week one, where he said the words like "butt" and "pee." Haha!
Brian had a rough morning with the Middle Schoolers, when he made the mistake of thinking that a boy was a girl on the stage. I felt so bad for him...it was not good...but, we all make mistakes occasionally and I could never, ever do what he does!
We drove down to the rec fields & Brian jumped in to a game of kickball...he had a very enthusiastic cheering section! Madison's sweet voice on this video kills me! "Go, Daddy, Go! Yea Daddy!!"
Mandatory "matching shirts" last week of camp pics!
On Friday afternoon, a few more of Mackenzie's friends came down to camp...this was such a fun way to end the summer at FC for Mackenzie!
Going for the carrots, like always!
So excited for next summers theme!
Daelyn's mom, Maegan, and Jordan's mom, Deanna came to camp Friday afternoon/evening to pick up Daelyn. We had a fun time showing them around camp!
One last night of running cards!
The program staff is always so sweet to our kids!
Mackenzie really loves Audrey!
So. Much. Stuff.
Bye for now, Falls Creek!
But wait...we had to stop for gas and a fried pie on our way out!
