Here we are, navigating our first summer without Falls Creek...and it's hard. It has brought about a fresh wave of grief over the loss that we have experienced this past year. We are finding healing though, and God is so faithful! I do have to remind myself often, that God sees the bigger picture and His ways are much better than my own.
Lord, help me to have an eternal perspective, every single day!
Jack is very into Legos these days! He got this set from Grandma Baldwin and he basically put the entire thing together by himself. I assisted a few times, but not hardly at all. He is a smart boy!
We had the best time this summer, cheering the OKC Thunder on, to win the NBA Championship! I tried to get tickets a few times, but they were crazy expensive, so we just cheered them on from home. We had a watch party at GMa's house the night of the final game, and it was very exciting when we won! (Watching sports with GMa--especially OU or Thunder games--is entertaining, to say the least!) We stopped downtown to take a few pics in front of the SGA painting on our way out to Newcastle. Fun times! A few days after we won, there was a huge parade downtown...Brian was out of town and I wasn't feeling very well, so we didn't tackle the crowds. I'm a little sad about that now, but I'm just hoping we win again so I can take Jonah to the parade next time!

I had this bright idea to go to Academy on the way home to get Jonah a NBA Championship hat...um...the line was wrapped clear around the outside of the parking lot...we quickly changed our mind about this! =0)
Here's a picture from when I tried to get tickets to watch one of the away games from inside the Paycome center...it said I was # 6,489 in line...lol! No wonder I didn't get tickets! Craziness...
We had Jack's family party at Leslie's pool on Saturday evening the 21st. This is one of his favorite places to be in the summers, so it has worked well for us to have his party there the last few years! Always so thankful to have the best family to celebrate with us!
I think it's safe to say, Jack felt celebrated and loved, and had a very Happy 5th Birthday!!
